BRIEF
To create a wedding which brought the outdoors, inside using a vibrant palette of summer flowers. Our couple wanted to feel like the most beautiful garden, filled with every possible colour had arrived indoors to create the perfect wedding at the Nash Conservatory, Royal Botanical Gardens Kew.
Walking on many a sunny day through countryside fields and meadows, we researched flower varieties perfect to bring this look to life. We then suggested a mix of fragrant herbs including sage, rosemary and mint and ensure that as guests walk past the designs, they conjure a moment and a memory of their own summer walks.
As guests arrived to the Nash Conservatory at Kew Gardens, they were met by the most incredible meadow of colourful flowers. Purple, yellow, peach, green and pink all combined in a seamless combination to bring the spirit of the most beautiful garden, indoors.
Running along the full length of the aisle on either side, the piece filled to whole of this large and impressive building to life. A stunning custom created wedding ceremony arch then stood at the end, formed by our talented scenic team to match the pitch of the existing roof as the couple were not keen on a traditional curved top. We then filled the arch with thousands of fresh flower stems including varieties such as roses, spray roses, freesia, delphinium & viburnum.
We paired these with rosemary, sage, flowering mint & jasmine to create the most incredible herbaceous scent which would later form part of their own signature wedding scent. Whilst guests sipped cocktails out in the grounds of Kew Gardens, our floristry team swiftly transformed The Orangery at Kew Gardens into a beautiful dining area.
Low and luxurious table centres created using the same colourful palette and once again, filled with fragrant herbs made for a wonderfully relaxed setting. The top table was draped with a beautifully rustic runner of flowers and candle accessories to ensure guest sight lines were not obscured. Each napkin was then infused with a signature scent of crushed mint & jasmine which Larry Walshe Studios created to evoke a memory which would last a lifetime. Individual scent bottles of the same were then created as gifts to that each time the couple spritz it at home, they will be reminded of this perfect day. Nosegays were then added to each place setting as a final touch.
