When the Lake Como Wedding Planner contacted us and asked us if we would like to bring this beautifully elegant and classic wedding to life at Villa Balbiano, we of course said Yes!
Our bride and groom were keen to create a understated wedding design, filled with eucalyptus, white roses and blush pink roses. They were keen to realise an outdoor wedding design that was elegant, sophisticated and refined, overlooking the iconic Lake Como in Italy.
Our London floristry team worked with the UK based couple to develop their wedding design before flying out to Italy to create this timeless and elegant celebration. The ceremony was hosted in the gardens overlooking Lake Como. Floral meadows ran along wither side the aisle and a large floral arch stood at the ceremony area. Both were created using all the brides favourite flowers, white roses, sweet avalanche roses and fragrant eucalyptus.
Following the ceremony, guests motioned across to the marquee which was located adjacent to the swimming pool. A beautiful glass marquee tent, we installed a floral ceiling created using a multitude of fresh and fragrant eucalyptus. Rambling overhead, this large floral installation created a sense of intimacy and softness to the whole setting before dining tables were dressed with low flower arrangements using the brides favourite fresh roses.
Crystal chandeliers also hung throughout the marquee to add another layer of luxury whilst floral meadows were placed along the front of the stage to add the final, finishing touch to this understated and elegant wedding design in Lake Como.
