THE
BRIEF

We are invited for the second consecutive year to create the iconic London member’s club in the heart of the Saudi Arabian desert.  This time, it was to emulate the garden seen in the London restaurant for which it is most famous.

Located in the centre of a date palm farm adjacent to Jabal Ikmah in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, the area had no facilities or infrastructure so we knew this would be a demanding build.  Located near the heart of AlUla Old Town, this remote area would provide the perfect backdrop to the iconic London restaurant during a 3 month pop-up installation.

The Final Creation

A custom-built glass marquee played host to the famous London member’s club restaurant, surrounded by giant date palm trees and the impressive sights of Jabal Ikmah.  Filling the space, Mediterranean inspired planting, replicating that seen in the London counterpart.  Hugely luscious, floral arrangements and plants were lavishly added to the interior to provide a colourful sense of al fresco dining within a glass marquee environment.

Living green walls sat behind the bar, tropical floral canopies sat above the private dining room table and a large central tree for which the London restaurant is most famous to centre stage in the middle of the room.  Built to last for a 3 month pop-up restaurant activation, the planting was supported by authentic, vintage pots in a range of styles to bring a true sense of eclectic luxury to life in the most beautiful way imaginable.

Our London floral designers travel extensively throughout Saudi Arabia and the Middle East to create luxury floral designs.  We bring a European style and a systematic approach to all large-scale destination projects, managing the exporting of all goods, travel and project logistics from end to end.
