When professional footballer Adam Webster and wife-to-be Melissa invited to join them on the exclusive Monkey Island Estate in Bray to start designing their wedding, we were thrilled. Melissa loved clean design and crisp white blooms. She was keen that her wedding would stand the test of time and remain eternally timeless.
Both the bride and groom were keen to host an outdoor wedding ceremony, overlooking the River Thames. They were also keen to host an outdoor cocktail reception followed by a dinner in a clear glass marquee tent. Melissa loved greenery, white flowers and the idea that we would transform Monkey Island Estate into the most beautiful wedding venue.
The ceremony sat atop a bespoke platform, made so that all guests and family alike could enjoy the wedding ceremony atop even ground. A silver mirrored ceremony aisle reflected the sky above and created a truly luxurious wedding design. White florals and English foliage grew over a metal pergola to offer a modern wedding design in a traditional setting with the River Thames their backdrop.
The drinks reception took place on the lawn whilst guests basked in the sunshine on this beautiful June weekend. Guests then motioned across the lawn to the marquee which was situated on the opposing end of the secluded island. The clear marquee tent was filled with a floral ceiling suspended above the central dining table. Running the full length of the marquee, it conjured the spirit of al fresco dining in Italy in a contemporary and luxury manner. Italian crystal chandeliers were suspended throughout at different heights to enhance the level of luxury; these paired perfectly against Italian crystal candelabra which were added to the tablescape.
English flower arrangements created the perfect table centrepiece as they ran along the middle of each long dining table. Frosted pistachio candles then added a final layer of detail that brought this clean and chic wedding design to life.
Our expert London florists designed detailed floral arrangements which included white peonies, white roses, white sweetpeas and a number of other delicate blooms. With a pristine white carpet, white linens and white dining chairs, this truly was a stunning white wedding that brought the spirit of the garden, indoors in the most modern and elegant way possible.
