Standing at the end of the aisle atop your ceremony stage and creating the most sensational impact, a glorious horseshoe shaped enclave created using a veritable tapestry of mixed spring summer foliages and punctuations of crisp white blooms from your chosen palette. Standing approximately 5ft high at the centre point, the design will curve organically, reducing in height as it reaches the outer edges, resulting in a sumptuous and inviting setting, crafted with much detail, depth and movement. With the backdrop of Lake Como, the perfect place to say “I Do”!
A fabulously whimsical & wildly romantic meadow of flowers in your selected palette of white with abundant spring summer foliages, will create a heavenly and “just picked” look. Connecting all of your designs together, it will begin a touch away from your ceremony backdrop to allow the bridal party to access their seats, and run down either side of the isle.
A gloriously chic and organic design crafted using a multitude of petit hand tied designs, each featuring an array of crisp white blooms from your chosen palette alongside delicate inclusions of seasonal foliage. Each hand tie will be looser in style to feel larger in size, rather than more tight and compact. Clusters of cut crystal votives will then be scattered to add the final finishing flourish.
Placed in the centre of four of your round dining tables and adding height and a sense of softness to such beautiful surroundings, a tall, ornate crystal candelabra. Nestling the base, a luxurious mass of the most beautiful and full-bloomed flowers from your chosen colour palette alongside a delicate addition of seasonal green foliage. Sumptuously realised, each piece will create the perfect dining environment. Clusters of chic glass votives will then be scattered to add a final finishing flourish! 4 in total.
Larry Walshe, a master of luxury floral design, was entrusted with bringing a dreamlike vision to life at Villa Balbiano on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. For this exquisite white wedding, Walshe chose delphinium as the focal flower, its striking vertical spires of blue and white creating a dramatic yet ethereal atmosphere. The stunning villa, known for its grand architecture and panoramic views of the lake, served as the perfect canvas for Walshe’s artistry. Delphiniums, paired with delicate white roses and lush greenery, framed the altar and transformed the outdoor ceremony into a breathtaking scene. The flowers swayed gently in the breeze, their vibrant hues shimmering against the backdrop of the serene waters and towering Alps, creating an unforgettable moment of beauty and tranquility.
As guests moved to the reception, held in the villa’s opulent gardens, Walshe continued his floral mastery with striking installations of delphinium arranged in a variety of ways—tall, dramatic centerpieces lined the dinner tables, while whimsical garlands of cascading blooms adorned the grand arches and pathways. The cool, soft whites and blues of the delphinium created an atmosphere of purity and sophistication, perfectly complementing the villa’s historic charm and the breathtaking views of Lake Como. The entire evening felt like a carefully curated dream, where every detail was meticulously planned, from the floral compositions to the lighting, resulting in a celebration that blended timeless elegance with an unforgettable sense of place. Walshe’s design elevated the natural beauty of Villa Balbiano into a fairy tale setting that was as enchanting as it was luxurious.
