To create a timeless, garden inspired setting for a surprise birthday party at Chapel Barn on the Wilderness Reserve Estate in Suffolk.
To create the scheme we took inspiration from the rustic surroundings of Chapel Barn, the existing interior decoration and reverted with a hugely elegant scheme that worked harmoniously with the varied colours of the stained glass and textiles already present.
Embracing the intimate nature of the birthday celebration, we added one long wooden table to the Chapel Barn space using a farmhouse inspired style. Accented with rustic rattan charger plates, antique brass accessories and bamboo flatware, we created a style-savvy birthday scheme with much personality. Harmoniously enhancing the existing space, all the nature materials worked alongside the spirit of the barn to create a sophisticated and elevated dining room. A dreamy floral runner made using thousands upon thousands of cow parsley flowers ran along the centre of the table and cascaded to the floor below on either side to create a cloud-like effect whilst chic taupe candles added a touch of height. Incredibly detailed, the playful table styling balanced perfectly against such fluffy flowers to result in a flower arrangement that stole the show.
After dinner, guests then descended to the basement level of Chapel Barn at Wilderness Reserve to party the night away. A wandering band, a cocktail bar serving anything your heart desires, snooker tables and a swimming pool…the perfect setting to celebrate a milestone birthday!
