When we were asked to design an Arabic Wedding celebration at The Savoy Hotel in London after the bride had struggled with another wedding designer, we were thrilled to assist. The bride wanted a winter white wedding scheme for their December wedding celebration and was keen to create a look which had not been seen before.
We set to work creating a dreamscape of winter white flowers, with silver mirror accents to correlate perfectly against the ornate interior decoration of the legendary Savoy ballroom.
There is nothing more romantic than a central London wedding in December. When the weather is cold and the sky dark, candles flicker in mirrors and lights dance amongst the flowers to create a warm and inviting setting where friends and family celebrate together to create a lifetime of memories.
Hugely ornate and luxurious, the ballroom at The Savoy Hotel has become synonymous with aristocracy and the most lavish of celebrations. As such, the stage backdrop was designed and custom-built to emulate and replicate the panelling around the perimeter of the room. A large silver mirror dancefloor then added further dimension as white lighting fixtures blended seamlessly into the ceiling.
Large floral arrangements were added to round dining tables, using a multitude of white blooms, crystal accessories and silver mirror accents to ensure a scheme which was ever as decadent as it looked. Exquisite tall Italian crystal candelabra also ran throughout the space to add a timeless and everlasting quality to this Arabic wedding celebration. Long dining tables incorporated within the venue encouraged visual variety and these benefited from floral runners of vanda orchids, roses, spray roses and hydrangea.
As wedding designers, we consider each detail of an Arab wedding to make sure that your guests have the finest experience. Diptyque candles were added individual glass cloches and soft blue ribbons which matched the wall colour of the Savoy Hotel Ballroom were added to each place setting.
A decadent and enticing dessert stall featuring a myriad of cakes, sweet treats and macaroons embellished the stage area of the Savoy Hotel ballroom. This was a Marie Antoinette inspired setting that truly encouraged you to “Let them eat cake!”. Hugely stylish, white wedding flowers embellished this area to continue the scheme seen throughout the venue in the most beautiful way possible.
