To create a luxury party to celebrate a 10 year wedding anniversary within a building site! Our client was in the process of adding a 10m deep basement extension to their house however this wasn’t going to be finished in time for their celebration so instead of hosting it elsewhere, they decided they wanted to party in a construction zone!
Surrounded by contractor equipment and a raw concrete interior, we embraced the surroundings and sought to add lots of texture and colour to soften the environment. With space at a premium and lots of guests to accommodate, we felt adding height would ensure a dramatic dining experience.
Graffiti artists embraced the concept of partying 10m underground for a 10 year wedding anniversary and decorated the raw concrete walls to turn this space into the chicest nightclub in London! Guests had the opportunity to sign their name as they entered which left our hosts with the perfect keepsake to remind them of their 10 year wedding anniversary celebration.
As guests descended, they arrived at a cool industrial drinks reception area before diving deeper into an enchanted and stylish forest, made the Larry Walshe way! Tall trees with a canopy filled using suspended purple delphinium flowers towered over guest heads and created the most incredible party atmosphere. Flower arrangements at the base of the table and cut crystal accessories then ran along the table in a palette of deep purple tones to finish the look.
As a playful touch and a nod to the industrial surroundings, construction hard hats were supplied to each guest! As guests moved down another level, the coolest nightclub with walls and DJ booth decorated using grafitti set them up for the ultimate 10 year wedding anniversary party, 10 meters down!
